We were delighted to welcome Prince William (Prince of Wales) to East Shallowford Farm for a visit arranged by the Duchy of Cornwall in October. He was greeted by the Chair of the Central Dartmoor Farm Cluster and the Landscape Recovery Project, John Dracup, who gave him a tour of the farm.
During his visit, Prince William met with staff from The Shallowford Trust and students from Barley Lane School in Exeter. He also engaged with members of the Dartmoor Farm Cluster and the Central Dartmoor Landscape Recovery project team, who shared details of the work they were doing during the two-year development phase, which focuses on creating plans to enhance Dartmoor’s natural landscape while supporting the viability of local farms.
The Prince was very interested and engaged throughout the visit, and we hope he visits the farm again in the future for a project update.
