We are delighted to congratulate John Dracup, Chair of the Central Dartmoor Farm Cluster and the Central Dartmoor Landscape Recovery Project, for being honoured at the prestigious Leaders in British Farming awards ceremony, held on October 15th at the House of Lords. This event, organised by the English Panel of the Council for Awards of the Royal Agricultural Societies (CARAS), celebrated the outstanding accomplishments of 28 trailblazers in the UK’s food and farming industry, who are shaping the future of British agriculture by driving change in sustainable farming, supporting charities and pushing the boundaries in research and technology.

The objective of the UK-wide CARAS organisation is to recognise, through an Awards scheme, distinguished achievement in agriculture and related land-based industries. John received an Associate Award (ARAgS – Associate of the Royal Agricultural Societies) acknowledging his contribution as an individual to the industry, specifically his work towards securing a sustainable market for the future.
